Courtesy of kir, apparently there is an upcoming expansion of Fallout coming called New Vegas. Let it be noted, they are totally copying me.
As a resident of Las Vegas, I am highly anticipating this expansion. I hope they treat Las Vegas a little better than Resident Evil 3. The line “Desert must have taken it back. Five years. No one to keep the sand back.” remains one of the most unintentionally funny lines in any movie I’ve ever seen, and the theater erupted in laughter when it was spoken.
Any way, I admitedly haven’t purchased any of the other expansion packs. While the existing two look good, the upcoming Broken Steel looks like it will be enough to shell out the cash. Will likely just buy all three while I’m at it. But Broken Steel looks like it will be the first truly legit expansion, extending the level cap and continuing rewriting the ending so it isn’t so horrible.
I have yet to finish Fallout 3. To be honest, when I left the Vault my first reaction was if my dad really wanted to leave me there, fine. I’ll go do my own thing. So I didn’t follow the main story.
The expansions though… make me want to find out what it is that everyone hates about the ending so much.
Vegas has special connotations to me, it was the one city I NEVER wanted to visit. Yet, ever since college I keep finding myself back there at least once a year for one reason or another. I kept hoping to break into the professional sand pusher-backer field, alas RE3 broke my dreams.
Running around Vegas in GTA was awesome, so I’m looking forward to seeing a post-apocalyptic Vegas.
First thing to do when expansion comes out. Go to your house and shoot you and my brother in the face
I broke down and bought The Pitt, I’ll write a review of it soon because I think it has enough good and bad to warrant one despite being a small expansion.
Can’t really fault you for not finishing Fallout 3. I’ve played every single Elder Scrolls game and haven’t beat a single one.
